Luke 12:48 Ministerial Training Fund

The reach of Shepherds' Haven extends far beyond the pastors who attend. Church leaders, deacons, and servants of the Lord have also advanced the cause of Christ by attending the conference. One such servant was Scott VanDyne. "Scotty" was not a pastor, but he was a servant of the Lord who loved pastors, especially those who attend Shepherds' Haven. Scott had a passion to invite friends and pastors to Shepherds' Haven each year often acting as a personal chauffeur. He would serve them throughout the week, and ensure their needs were met.

Scott was a master-builder of homes, but he also used these skills to be a blessing to churches and pastors by leading volunteers on construction missions projects, which he also contributed to financially (Luke 12:48 Ministries). Scott was a highly qualified preacher, and filled pulpits quite often. He was a shepherd to pastors. He used his wit and wisdom to provide comfort, care, counsel, prayer, and offered a fresh perspective on difficult circumstance. His policy was to drop whatever he was doing to answer a phone call from a pastor.

Scott went home to be with his Savior on November 9, 2021, and is greatly missed by his Shepherds' Haven family and friends. In order to continue Scott's legacy, New England Shores Baptist Church of Hampton, NH initiated The Luke 12:48 Ministerial Training Fund, which grants scholarships to pastors of like faith who cannot afford to attend Shepherds' Haven each year. Pastors in need or those who have the ability to give are requested to fill out the appropriate form below.  All payments can be made to First Baptist Church of North Conway, NH with a memo of Scott's name or Shepherds' Haven. The funds will go directly to paying for pastor's registration fees. Once the form is submitted, you will be contacted by Shepherd's Haven representative.
