Pastor Tom Rofe, wife Apphia and their six kids came to Dresserville Bible Baptist Church in November 2008.  Ben, Nick, Beth, Jordan, Apphy, & Beka all helped to pack up and move from Harrington, Maine where we had spent the last 10 years serving at First Baptist Church.  Beka, who was born there, is our true "Mainer" (or "Mainiac" at times).  After ten years of a very rural ministry, which was loaded with wonderful people and beautiful places, we came to Dresserville where we are surrounded by wonderful people, farms, fields, cows, hills, trees, and lakes.  God has richly blessed us through His creation wherever we've been. 

 

Our oldest son Ben married Kristin (Mackenzie) and they have two children Clara & Barrett.  Ben is an Air Force pilot.   Nick, our second son, married Alyssa (Kinney) who is a "PK" the daughter of long-time family friends. Nick and Alyssa live locally and serve faithfully in our church.  Beth, our oldest daughter married James Gwin (another "PK") and they live in WI where James is studying for a coaching/teaching degree.  Our third son Jordan, literally married the farmer's daughter, Esther (Ripley) who grew up in this church.  They are serving with Norm & Cherie (Esther's Aunt) Mackenzie at New Life Island. (Yes, Mackenzie as in Kristin - brothers marrying cousins)  Apphy graduated from Faith Baptist Bible College in IA,  with a degree in Elementary Education. She has begun her first year of teaching at Cortland Christian Academy.  Beka is at Faith and is a junior training to be a high school history teacher.  Tom and Apphia are occasional empty-nesters, and thanking the Lord for a wonderful family, church family, and friends who all help make ministry extra-special.
